these are some photos taken of my circuit. i have finished it and tested it and the circuit works perfectly.. the circuit is designed to make the white led turn on at night and off at day depending on the light. this is why the ldr is included. the blue terminal block is going to be wired up to a solar panel and the orange terminal block is going to be hooked up to a 6v lead acid battery. there are going to be another 2 white led's included in the circuit.

week 11 term 1
this week, i have started on my epic circuit for my solar garden light. we had to draw our tracking onto the pcb board and put the board into an acid bath. once this was completed, we soldered components onto the pcb board. this circuit makes led's turn on at night and charges a battery at day

week 10 term 1
freehand final design
i am using a program called macromedia freehand mx to make a 2d design of the garden light. this program is a good program to use to make a very simple annotated design of my garden light. this is the same program that was used to make the boat wiring diagram i made earlier on in the year. pictures will be uploaded soon
Evaluation of freehand design
i think my latest freehand design is going to be easy to make. it is simple so the process of making the light will be quick and easy, it has alot of light output so it is effective at night and it is strong against the wind and saltwater. this design still has some improvements to be done though.

final light design
week 9 term 1
this week i have been doing some conceptual designs for my solar garden light. i want to make a box shaped light. my light will have led's to produce light.
designing the pcb
i have started designing my pcb and here is what i have done so far. i have used circuit wizard to make the circuit, then i converted it to a pcb layout. once this is complete, i have printed the circuit onto a pcb board and used a drill to drill the holes. then i used a marker to draw the tracks. once i have completed this, i put the pcb into an acid bath for 5 minutes to burn away all of the copper which i did not need
